New Short story coming soon.
A prequel to the Stoneblood Saga Novels.
Soron Stoneblood seeks a simpler life. One without violence and death
But Solotine is a harsh and hard land. Despite Soron's best attempts to avoid it, violence seems to follow him everywhere. Dangerous monsters, legendary warriors and gangs of noble scum all stand between Soron and his desire for a peaceful life.
Soron hopes by leaving the north behind he can get a fresh start, but when trouble finds him Soron is ready.
While I wait for editing on Son of Soron, I decided to work on another project. I wanted to do a short story, actually potentially a series of stories based on a different character, within the same fantasy world created in Son of Soron.
This main character Kiana, a strong willed but talented thief is applying to join the famed Thieves' Guild. Mithbea's elite underground organization based in Pailtar. In this fast paced introduction to theSerial she faces a series of tests to determine if she can get into the organization!
I will be posting a sneak peak of this one to the website soon.
First up on my list of good authors to check out is a fellow Canadian. Sever Bronny, author of ARCANE. A Young adult, coming of age, fantasy fiction.
I enjoyed Sever’s debut novel. His story has good pace, and a bit of a harry potter feel to it( in a good way with the mix of complex characters, some more likeable than others). He has a unique take on magical systems that should make the follow up books very interesting as the characters progress in their studies.
Check him out folks, ARCANE is definitely worth a read, and you will likely end up getting RIVEN as well. Only down fall if you enjoy these books is waiting for the next one to come out.
I have always dreamed of writing a novel, and some of the ideas for Son of Soron have been kicking around in my mind for a couple years now. After reading an article about the explosion of Indie self-publishing due to Amazon, I decided that maybe it was time to knock writing a novel off of my bucket list.
I am now in the finishing stages of Son of Soron, and enjoyed writing it so much I am already deep into the next novel, The Missing Mage. Since I intend to use my blog to talk about things other than my own novels, let me start by joining the millions who recently disappointed to hear that the next book in the Game of Thrones series will not be coming out this year… Damn it George ;)
Thank you for taking the time to check my pages out. Come back soon for my future blog posts where I will be recommending some really good indie fantasy writers.
